Benevolence runs a host of community events throughout the year designed especially to support our varied community. Some of our most notable events are community dinners, conversation forums and eid celebrations.
Community Dinners
Community dinners are highlights of our annual calendar. Run quarterly, these dinners are a social event for the whole family. Community dinners are open to all and are a great place to meet new people, strengthen existing ties and of course, enjoy a delicious meal.
Our annual Ramadan iftar dinner is our most popular event of the year. Honouring the blessed month by bringing the Muslim, convert and wider community together, this event is close to our hearts as a powerful means of strengthening community unity.
Eid Celebrations
There are two holy days of celebration in Islam: Eid-al-Fitr at the conclusion of Ramadan – the month of fasting, and Eid-al-Adha, which marks the completion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage for Muslims. These blessed days commence with the congregational Eid salat (prayer), followed by festivities throughout the day, and are celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
Benevolence’s Eid Salat & Celebrations brings together its diverse community of Muslims and converts for a day of festivities and fun.
